At The Crossing Church, we began with a vision from God that emphasizes our commitment to welcoming everyone into our church community. Our aim is for every individual to feel invited to participate in our ministries, worship, and become a part of the family of Christ. Regardless of your background or past, you can find your place to worship God in this house. We are dedicated to staying true to the vision God has given us, which includes sharing Bible teachings that resonate with our community. We strive to present a message and a promise of hope from our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. With Jesus as our head, we firmly believe that no matter your age, ethnicity, color, or creed, you have the right to express your Christian beliefs and praise our Creator.
We believe that the Holy Bible, encompassing both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired revelation of God to humanity. Therefore, the Bible teachings serve as the infallible and authoritative rule for all matters of faith and conduct. We affirm the existence of one God, eternally revealed in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ is recognized as the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead, and now ascended to Heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and thus repentance is necessary and commanded by God for forgiveness. We believe in water baptism by immersion; all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, as an ordinance of the Crossing Church. In communion, we remember the broken body of Christ and His shed blood upon Calvary. This is instituted as an ordinance of The Crossing Church, where we partake of unleavened bread and juice of the vine that has been consecrated for this purpose. We also believe in the second coming of Christ, when He will receive the church unto Himself and reign forever. The return of Jesus Christ is imminent, leading to His reign upon the earth and the final judgments, after which there will be a new heaven and a new earth. We cherish the fellowship of the saints; when we accept Jesus as Lord, we are born into the family of God and become part of a church community. We are united as members of the Body of Christ, accountable to one another as brothers and sisters within the community of faith, and are called to actively participate in a local fellowship of believers.
